Peak Climbing
Summit the world's most iconic peaks
Service Overview & Details
Summit Nepal's Iconic Peaks
Nepal is home to 13 of the world's 14 peaks above 8,000 meters, making it the ultimate destination for mountaineers. Nepal Lion Tours offers guided peak climbing expeditions ranging from introductory 6,000-meter peaks to serious high-altitude challenges, all led by experienced climbing Sherpas with proven summit records.
Accessible Climbing Peaks
For those new to mountaineering, Island Peak (6,189m) and Mera Peak (6,476m) offer achievable summits with stunning Himalayan panoramas. These peaks require basic mountaineering skills — crampon technique, rope work, and ice axe use — which our team teaches during the approach trek so you are fully prepared for summit day.
Preparation and Safety
All climbing packages include comprehensive equipment lists, pre-expedition fitness guidance, detailed acclimatization schedules, supplementary oxygen where needed, satellite communication, and emergency evacuation plans. Our climbing Sherpas hold UIAGM/IFMGA certifications and have extensive high-altitude experience on Nepal's most challenging peaks.
The Nepal Lion Tours Difference
We limit our climbing groups to small sizes to ensure personalized attention and flexibility. Our logistics team handles all permit arrangements, liaison officer coordination, and base camp operations — allowing you to focus entirely on the climb. Post-climb celebrations in Kathmandu are a tradition we share with every team that reaches the summit.
